Homemade Plum Jam with Star Anise Recipe

  • Prep Time: 20 minutes
  • Cook Time: 40 minutes
  • Total Time: 1 hour

Instructions

  • Combine the plums, sugar, lemon juice, and star anise pods in a large saucepan.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally, over medium-high heat.
  • Reduce the heat to low and continue to cook for 30-40 minutes, or until the mixture thickens and the plums break down.
  • Remove and discard the star anise pods from the jam.
  • Fill sterilized jars halfway with hot jam and tightly seal them.
  • Allow the jam to cool to room temperature before refrigerating it for up to 1 month.
